Brazilian legend has it that Yemanja is the Queen of the Ocean, the patron deity of the fishermen and the survivors of shipwrecks. For over a decade, this small eatery has been hypnotizing and serving St. Louisians a little taste of Brazil. The décor shows exposed brick walls adorned by macramé hammocks plus plants and a mosaic-framed fireplace add up to a rustic, tactile interior. The art work was done by both owner and mother team of Lemya and Cathleen Sidki. So next time you feel like going to Brazil, don’t stress just take a short drive to historic Benton Park and you will find yourself in Brazil.
