Opened in October ’05 as the only Turkish joint in St. Louis by Turkish Chef Mehmet Yildiz and designer Alicia Aboussie. Chef yildiz prepares contemporary Middle-eastern creations, as well as authentic dishes dating back to the Ottoman Empire. Try some of their beautifully arranged platters of meze (appetizers) that are at the heart of a Turkish meal. This softly lit, Turkish gem glows ruby red and gold, with its heavy curtains, its private alcoves, and romantic setting, gives you a glimpse of the Mediterranean without leaving St. Louis.
