ARAKA – [uh-rah-kuh] noun – a traditional catalyst for Mediterranean Spirits made from figs, grapes and plums. Located at the newly developed Crescent building in Clayton, ARAKA Restaurant showcases European Inspired Cuisine in an atmosphere like no other in St. Louis.. The restaurant is separated into 5 different areas starting with a towering 15ft wall of wine in bar, a Café area that has floor to ceiling windows, the Main Dining Room that has visibility to the kitchen with frosted panes of glass, four private dining rooms, and a 100 seat patio that with a spectacular view of the backlit fountain on Carondelet. Chef Mark Curran uses only the freshest of ingredients from local purveyors to create exquisite cuisine that has influence from France, Italy, Spain, and Greece. Great small plate selections and the flatbreads are absolutely delicious. A must visit when you are in Clayton!
